English version (slightly outdated)

- 2004-08-20 : new Debian packages for the new kernel (2.4.27).
- 2004-07-17 : this version is slightly outdated. Use the French version instead.
- 2004-07-17 : I added RPMs files from François Valenduc <Francois.Valenduc AT skynet.be>.
- 2004-02-21 : the version 0.5.2 is available.
- 2004-02-21 : Tuxfamily is closed for the moment. So, the Web site moved to Gna!. I would like to thank Gna! people to host this site.
- 2004-02-21 : Olaf Tauber added my changes to the acerhk driver. See the "Links" section to download this driver.
- 2004-01-25 : I modified the driver for the launch buttons. It works fine now. I sent the code to Olaf Tauber (the original author). He told me that he will add the changes in the next release. However, if someone is interested, I can send him the modified version.
- 2003-12-13 : new Debian packages for the new kernel (2.4.23).
- 2003-12-04 : the version 0.5.1 is available (an important note about APIC was added and the howto was updated for the new version of the synaptics driver).
- 2003-09-27 : the version 0.5.0 is available (the section about the PCMCIA ports was added).
- 2003-09-13 : the version 0.4.3-1 is available.
- 2003-09-13 : two sections were added.
- 2003-09-06 : one section added and new version of XF86Config-4 for the new ATi drivers (ver. 3.2.5).
- 2003-09-02 : the European Parliament postponed its vote on the proposed EU Software Patent Directive. Sign the petition !
- 2003-08-24 : the first part of the translation is online. The website will be closed from 2003-08-27 until 2003-09-01 included to protest against the directive project of the European Parliament. Thanks for your comprehension.
- 2003-08-19 : French version finished. I'm going to begin the translation.
- 2003-07-27 : three of the five launch buttons work with acme (a Gnome's program)...
- 2003-07-24 : the alsa drivers work and fix a problem when changing the song in XMMS. The drivers for the launch buttons don't seem to work very fine...
- 2003-07-24 : the TouchPad driver works. I will not test the software suspend except if someone is interested in.
- 2003-07-22 : ACPI works :). I have still a lot of things to test : alsa drivers, software suspend, launch buttons and TouchPad driver...
- 2003-07-19 : I have to compile a new kernel to test ACPI. Then I will release a howto.
- 2003-07-02 : my laptop is come back from warranty. I'm going to start to test it.
- 2003-06-26 : I received my laptop... It had a problem with the BIOS but I tested it a little with Knoppix 3.2. See compatibility for more details. I can't of course release a howto for the moment.

Notes :- The Linux kernel patched with ACPI will not work without the "noapic" and "pci=noacpi" parameters at the Lilo command line.
- (1) You have to install the ATI drivers or XFree 4.3 (or greater).
- (2) I don't have WIFI.
- (3) The VGA port had been tested with the driver included in XFree 4.3.
