Introduction

Welcome to Chruppy Info Center! Chruppy Info Center is intended to be a powerful, highly configurable and as very extensible as it is possible system monitor. Currently it is tested on Linux 2.6 system, but i plan to port it to other POSIX compatible systems in the future. If you think that you can help me in this, contact me.

Features

Chruppy Info Center...

• uses root-tail to display data on desktop in a very readable form. It allows to set an used font and it's color. Also user can choose an interval between refreshing data, position of text on the screen.
• is very configurable, you can choose all system aspects displayed by standard modules. Also you can choose if Chruppy Info Center have to display semi-graphical charts, just text data, or maybe both. For detailed informations read chapter about configuration in README.
• is written in Python, a very powerful interpreted language that is portable between a lot of platforms. Thanks to Python, it _is possible_ to easy do a ports of Chruppy Info Center for other systems.
• have a lot of built-in modules and can be extended by your owns. All modules are written in python and i provide their source code. Modules are simple and every Python programmist can write them himself. If you want to do it, inform me. If your plugins will be provided on the GPL2 license, maybe i will add it to standard distribution.
• is provided on the GPL2 license, so i provide it's source code. You can look at it and do some tweaks. If you want to improve it, inform me, maybe i will include your hacks in standard distribution.
