The old game browser solution has been abandoned in favour of a more structured solution. Both SD and NAND browsing is now a manual task, as the automatic application finder was not quick enough to satisfy some users. From the manual browser you can press the Y button to bring up an option menu where you can add applications to the [My Shortcuts] list. Accessing this shortcut list is much faster than the old solution and it also gives you more freedom.

- Added support for background images. In the Photo Viewer bring up the menu and select the
icon. Then go into the [Theme Settings] menu under [Settings] and select the [Wallpaper] option. Make sure the Use option is selected for the wallpaper to be displayed.
Notices
- Images larger than 3.1 Megapixels (QXGA: 2048×1536) takes up a lot of memory when loaded, and GP2XMB could run out of memory and crash due to this. This issue will be resolved in a future release.

Video
- You can now play video files using the original firmware player. Select [Firmware Player] under [Video] to launch the application.
