Kombination is a Scrabble-like game, written for KDE 4. That means that several players try to create words in a turn based game, using the letters they have and the ones that are already in the board.
Kombination has been written by Albert Astals Cid and Pino Toscano.
Here you can see a screenshot of it (click to enlarge):
You need, Qt4, kdelibs from KDE4 and libkdegames from KDE4.
For more information about downloading and setting up a KDE4 environment, take a look at http://developer.kde.org/build/trunk.html.
Once you have set up the environment, you can proceed dowloading and installing
the libkdegames from trunk/KDE/kdegames, and finally Kombination from
trunk/playground/games/.
If you have any problem/suggestion about the game please contact the authors either sending a mail to the people in the AUTHORS file or seeking for them in #kde-devel at irc.freenode.net

Here it is a small set of FAQ about Kombination. If you feel that a question is missing here, feel free to send it to the authors.
Yes, but rules can not be trademarked, so we are safe.
This is not a question :-P
We were told by a good Scrabble expert that Duplicate Scrabble sucks (tm).
Yes, have a look at the protocol.h file for info on how the server works. By the way, the protocol WILL PROBABLY change, so don't begin implementing it now.
Yes!!! (see Troubleshooting for info on how to contact the authors).
One of the needs we have at the moment is an icon for Kombination, as we have no icon currently. For more details on that, take a look at https://gna.org/people/viewjob.php?group_id=1416&job_id=65 and http://kde-artists.org/main/forum/index.php?topic=557.0.
You can not, for now you either have to play with yourself or with someone that gives you his IP/hostname, in the future we may implement a central server.
Install some KSpell supported dictionary.
Ok, I lied, you also need to have a xxxx.xml that describes the language. Maybe there is still no XML for your language so you could try to create one or contact us with the details and we will create it.
We are sorry for that, but for the moment we are developing a Scrabble-like game with the rules of the original Scrabble. Anyway, you can contct us to see if the particular rule can be implemented as well.
