Support
We try to develop OpenInput as a tradiotional, free (libre) UNIX
library which means that the easiest way to get help and support is to
use the mailinglists.
The OpenInput project has three mailinglists. To subscribe,
unsubscribe or view the archives, simply click the provided
link which will take you to the user interface.
|
openinput-user
|
The user list is for all users of OpenInput. Please post
any question regarding OpenInput to this list. Subscribe, unsubscribe
or browse the archives for the user list
here.
|
|
openinput-devel
|
The developer list is for questions regarding the internal
workings of OpenInput, suggestions for improvements and patches.
Subscribe, unsubscribe or browse the archives for the developer list
here.

openinput-commits
|
The commit list is a read-only list to which all SVN
commits will be sent. If you're interested in the daily development
of OpenInput, subscribe to this to automatically receive updates when
things happen. Subscribe, unsubscribe or browse the arvhices for the
commit list here.

Online manual and API reference
If you're looking for a particular usage of an OpenInput function,
event type or similar you can use the
online API
reference to browse the Doxygen-generated documentation.
Also, there's the
online manual
in which you can find more in-depth information about OpenInput,
for example the rationale for starting the project, design
considerations, installation instructions, etc.
Please note that both the API reference and manual are work in
progress. Both are a part of the OpenInput source release but have
been uploaded to this homepage for your pleasure ;-)
How about a forum?
Once upon a time when the OpenInput page lived on dotsrc.org we did have a web
forum. However, such software needs to be kept up to date, spammers
must be filtered, user accounts must be cleansed, and the job was
simply a major pain and time consuming. So, after we moved to
gna.org we decided that the way to
communicate is to rely on ye olde mailinglists. You can subscribe to
the lists without too much concern --
gna.org does an excellent job in filtering
out spam, and the list of subscribers is available only to the
development team.
