FAQ

1. Which distribution is Pingwinek based on?

   Pingwinek is an independent distribution. This means that it doesn't synchronize with changes made by other Linux distributions and it uses own package management system called 'box'.

2. Who develops Pingwinek?

   Founder of the project and a main programmer is Grzegorz Dąbrowski. Whole project is hosted by gna.org and everyone whith proper qualifications can join it.

3. How is it possible to do distribution all alone?

   The automation on each step of development is the key to success. Starting with automatic search for new packages, through automatic builds and tests, ending with automatic commits to the repository (confirmed by administrator).

4. There is no package XXX in Pingwinek. What can I do?

   Please submit a bug on gna.org or ask on mailing list. After 1.0 release more effort will be put in spreading the distribution and encouraging people to join the project. A web based system will be created, whrere one can request a package and do other interesting things.
